The Lion King is a 2019 Walt Disney Pictures The new live-action of The Lion King is already a reality. Scar, Simba, Timón and Pumba will be back this 2019 with a ribbon that brings to reality the iconic Disney characters.
This remake tells the story of Simba, the prince who will have to overcome various obstacles during his growth to claim the throne as the Lion King.
The original version was released in 1994 by the directors Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, becoming one of the classics of the house of the mouse because it marked the lives of millions of children with scenes like the stampede, the reunion of Simba with Nala, and of course, the fight against Scar.
Fortunately, these moments remain in the new version, as well as the most popular songs like 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', which we can hear in the trailer just released with a duration of almost two minutes.
Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Rafiki, Timón and Pumbaa will remain the protagonists. The plot, as we mentioned, will be the same, including the return of the small heir after suffering with the intrigues of his uncle.
The voices, in the original version, will be by Donald Glover (Simba), Beyoncé (Nala), Billy Eichner (Timon), Seth Rogen (Pumba), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar) and James Earl Jones (Mufasa).
The premiere is scheduled for July 18, 2019 and here you will see the final trailer, which will tear a couple of tears of nostalgia.
The film will star, in voice, by Donald Glover ("Atlanta", also known by his musical name Childish Gambino). James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa in the original 1994 film, will return to that role. Beyoncé will make the voice of Nala.
